I’m a firefox user and I’ve been trying out Scribefire – an addon which lets you work on blog posts off line. I can’t get it to accept my WordPress login. It gives me a verify button to press but then says can’t login. The same thing happens using it with Opera. Anyone else use it and have any problems?

Firefox crashes my Windows computers, and it doesn’t seem to make any difference as to whether or not it is Windows 95, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, or 7.
I use Word but I have no problem with special characters, such as ½, ¼, °, ±, ¢, é, etc.

I hadn’t thought of word, can it log in or do you copy and paste?

copy & paste. make sure that there are no special characters in word, that create problem when you copy-paste.

If you want to leave out any formatting of text, the best thing to do is to use Notepad or something similar. Alternatively you can write your post in word (or OpenOffice Writer), copy and paste via Notepad (to get rid of any hidden html/codes etc) and then paste it into WordPress.
