Worn but still flying, this is the flag of England. The flag dates back to the time of the crusades and is the emblem of the patron saint of England. St. George was a Roman soldier, a dragon slayer and possibly a Moor, whose tales of heroism led to his adoption by the military orders who fought in the holy land.
